I'm Stephen, Director of Sales and Marketing with Panther Industries, a ProMach company. I've been Director of Sales for about two and a half to three years and with Panther for about nine.
I'm Brian Baker, a National Integrator Manager with Panther Industries. I've been with Panther since 2017 in that national integrator role. Selling Panther before we had this tool was very conceptual with the customer. We'd be on the phone, and they'd be asking how the machines can be oriented, how the swing arms are going to work, and how everything is basically going to work on their line, which made it very conceptual and sometimes hard for them to really understand and grasp what exactly our equipment's going to be doing and how it's going to be positioned on their line. We'd have to go through several photographs and things like that and try to explain it that way versus having the tool that kind of does it for you right there in front of the customer's eyes.
Panther Industries' virtual assistance tool is used almost every time we have a new sales call. That customer is generally showing us line design layouts. Once we get that bit of information, we're able to launch the virtual tool and very quickly show them how their label applicator would be oriented and configured.
The benefits of the virtual system tool for both my sales team, our internal service team, and the customer are that it aligns everyone on the same page. This happens throughout the industry where a right-hand system is quoted and purchased, and it gets into the field, and a left-hand system is needed. In today's supply chain issues, sourcing new components can be very challenging, so getting it right the first time is imperative. It's also a really slick tool that a lot of customers see and appreciate, giving them the benefit of knowing we're specifying the right equipment and speeding up the process.
The tool definitely saves time. I would say it probably would take me 10 to 15 percent longer to go through an orientation with a customer to get them to understand what was going on because I'd have to pull up various pictures and walk through different orientations and things like that. With this tool, you can click three buttons and show three different orientations in under a minute, and you can see pretty much everything we have to offer if you need to walk through that many orientations. Thank you.
